About this pattern

A dark, gothic castle stands against a huge orange full moon, with bats in the sky and glowing pumpkins below. It is a moody, atmospheric Halloween scene with strong silhouettes that read clearly from across the room. Silhouette designs like this are satisfying to stitch: the dark shapes go quickly, and the moon glows brighter as the dark areas fill in around it. Start with the moon, then add the castle and the ground. Hang it in a dark frame for the full spooky effect. On 14 count Aida the finished scene is about 6.4 × 8.6 in (16 × 22 cm). The huge moon behind the castle is the brightest part of the design, so check your light orange shades carefully against the key before you start. Pair it with our Haunted Castle pattern for a spooky set.
