About this pattern

A grinning jack-o'-lantern wearing a striped witch hat, surrounded by autumn leaves, small pumpkins and flying bats against a warm orange glow. It is a cheerful Halloween piece that is more cozy than scary, so it works well for family decor. The design fills the whole frame in rich oranges, golds and deep blues. Stitch the pumpkin first to anchor the composition, then the hat, and finish with the glowing background. Frame it for the porch window or turn it into a seasonal cushion. The finished piece is about 6.4 × 8.6 in (16 × 22 cm) on 14 count Aida, which fits a standard 8 × 10 in frame. Its warm colors and friendly face also suit autumn decor in general, so you can hang it from late September all the way through Halloween night.
