About this pattern

A red squirrel with tufted ears and a bushy tail sits on a mossy stump, nibbling a nut. It is a woodland favorite with lots of warm russet and brown tones, perfect for autumn decor or for anyone who loves wildlife. The fur uses several close shades, so the finished squirrel looks soft and natural. Stitch the face and eye first, then the body and tail, and finish with the stump and the soft green background. It looks lovely in a natural wood frame. On 14 count Aida the finished squirrel is about 6.4 × 8.6 in (16 × 22 cm). It pairs well with our autumn patterns, such as Harvest Pumpkins and Autumn Still Life, for a seasonal wall. The tufted ears and tail tip are small details worth checking twice on the chart.
