About this pattern

Three red Christmas stockings with fluffy white cuffs, hanging side by side. It is a wide, cheerful design for a mantel banner, a long framed piece or the front of a Christmas card. Because the three stockings are similar, you can learn the shapes on the first one and stitch the other two much faster. The pattern uses only around 17 colors and has no background to fill. Try personalizing it: leave the cuffs plain and backstitch a family member's initial on each one with a contrasting floss. On 14 count Aida the three stockings finish at about 5.7 × 4.1 in (15 × 10 cm). Stitch it on a long strip of fabric and add pine branches or snowflakes in the spare space on each side if you want to turn it into a wider banner for the mantel.
