Three pink tulips with green leaves rise against a soft purple background. It is a fresh spring design with smooth color blends from deep pink to pale blush. Flowers like these are relaxing to stitch, and the finished piece makes a lovely gift for Mother's Day, a birthday or a spring table. Start with the darkest pinks at the base of the petals and work upward, then add the stems and leaves, and finish with the background. Try a light gray or white frame to keep it fresh. The finished piece is about 6.4 × 8.6 in (16 × 22 cm) on 14 count Aida. Tulips are a classic spring flower, so this is a nice project to start in winter and hang when the first real ones appear.
