A full holiday wreath of green branches, bright red berries and a generous red bow at the top. It is a timeless Christmas motif that suits a door hanger, a framed piece or a large card. The ring shape means the center stays empty, so you can stitch a family name, a year or a short greeting inside it. With fewer than 20 colors it is relaxing to work, and the repeating greens make good practice in counting. Stitch around the ring one section at a time and add the berries as you go. The finished wreath is about 5 × 4.6 in (13 × 12 cm) on 14 count Aida, which fits nicely in a 6 in (15 cm) hoop. Wrap the hoop in red ribbon and hang it straight on the door — no framing needed.
