About this pattern
A round, happy snowman wrapped in a red scarf and a knitted bobble hat, with rosy cheeks and a warm smile. It has the soft, cuddly look of a picture-book illustration and brings plenty of winter cheer to a wall, a pillow or a holiday card. The design fills the whole frame, including a pale snowy background, so it takes more stitches than our smaller pieces — a good project to settle into over several evenings. Stitch the snowman's outline areas first and finish with the light background. On 14 count Aida the finished piece is about 6.4 × 8.6 in (16 × 22 cm), a good size for an 8 × 10 in frame with a mat. Because a snowman is not tied to Christmas Day, it can stay on your wall from the first snow until spring, which makes it worth the stitching time.
