A plush red Santa hat with a fluffy white trim and pom-pom, decorated with shiny Christmas ornaments and a gold star. It is a fun, festive motif that looks great on a cushion, a tote bag panel or a framed holiday piece. There is no background to fill, so the hat stands out clearly on plain fabric. Work the big red areas first in long rows, then the white fur, and add the ornaments last. Keep the white trim neat by making sure all your top stitches slant in the same direction. The finished hat measures about 6.4 × 6.1 in (16 × 15 cm) on 14 count Aida, almost square, which makes it ideal for a cushion front or a square frame.
