About this pattern

Santa's sleigh and reindeer fly across a deep blue night sky above a snowy village, with a bright moon and twinkling stars. It is a magical, storybook Christmas Eve scene and one of the most atmospheric pieces in our collection. The large night sky is made of several blues, so take care with counting there, and use a light-colored needle minder or a bright lamp when you work the dark areas. Stitch the sleigh and the village lights first, then fill in the sky around them. On 14 count Aida the finished scene is about 6.4 × 8.6 in (16 × 22 cm). For a little extra magic, add a few French knots or metallic stars in the sky once you finish. It is a project to start in late summer and enjoy as a family heirloom for years.
