Mandalas are wonderfully calm to stitch: the design repeats around the center, so once you have finished one section the rest follows the same rhythm. Start in the middle and work outward ring by ring, and keep a highlighter handy to mark each finished segment on your printed chart. Pieces with a removed background leave the fabric showing around the medallion, which keeps them quicker to finish.
