About this pattern
Layers of violet, periwinkle and navy petals open around a warm orange and gold center, edged with fresh green leaves. It is a rich, full-coverage design with a lot of depth, yet most of the stitching uses a small group of blues and purples, so it settles into an easy rhythm once you get going. A thin white ring around the middle gives a clean line to count from. Start at the center, stitch the white ring next, and then build the petals outward toward the corners. The finished square has the look of a stained-glass window or an embroidered folk textile, and it pairs well with the other mandalas in this collection if you would like a set. On 14 count Aida it finishes at about 5.7 in (14.5 cm) square.
